The Big Brain Club provides free programs and resources to students and teachers from grades 6-12, and that means different things to different people.

Our flagship, however, has always been the Student Publishing Program. Since launching the program in 2011, The Big Brain Club has professionally published more than 300 first-time student-authors. The resulting books are donated to participating schools and used as a fundraiser, usually for the school’s library or classrooms.

You can see a partial list of our school partners here, and you can even buy some of their books here.

In 2012, we launched our first-ever collaboration between a middle school and high school, again in Colorado. The resulting book, The Big Brain Club at Falcon Bluffs Middle School, is a joint effort between dozens of student authors and a small team of high school students from nearby Chatfield Senior High School. The middle school students did all the writing, and the high school students helped with editing, writing workshops, book design, and even got some real-world business experience.

Beginning with the 2013 school year, The Big Brain Club is offering the how-to manual for this program to any schools interested in participating. If you’d like to take our blueprints and run with them, that’s great. If you’d like to submit an application to The Big Brain Club to fund your program and provide additional guidance, we’ll take on a few of those projects each year, too.
