Get Your Nerd On With Dinosaurs This Saturday!

The Big Brain Club is thrilled to announce another ‘Get Your Nerd On Day’ this Saturday, June 27, at Barnes & Noble on Colorado Blvd! And this time, we’re bringing dinosaurs. Rawrrr.

From 10:00 a.m. to noon, the Denver Museum of Nature and Science will be on hand with their interactive Sculpt-a-saurus activities. This is a fun opportunity for kids in grades 2 and up to create their own dinosaurs while learning about how scientists and artists work together to understand the deep past. (Please note that pre-registration is required for the Sculpt-a-saurus activities, but it’s free and easy to do. Just call Barnes & Noble at 303-691-2998.)

Also from 10:00 a.m. to noon, Big Brain Club founder (and author of the Youth One Book One Denver selection The Comet’s Curse) Dom Testa will be on hand signing copies of all his books.

At 1:00 p.m., Dr. Scott Sampson — paleontologist, science communicator, author, and host of PBS Kids’ Dinosaur Train — will talk with fans and sign his new book, How to Raise a Wildchild.

This is going to be a packed and exciting day, full of science and curiosity . . . with proceeds benefiting The Big Brain Club’s school programs. Everybody wins!

We’re looking forward to seeing you Saturday! Contact us here with any questions.
